Sunweb Sports & Events is now called Zoover Sports & Events

Sunweb Sports & Events changes its name to Zoover Sports & Events. This rebranding should ensure better brand awareness of the travel organizer. “It is our ambition to grow with a new name into one of the largest sports tour operators in the Netherlands and beyond,” says managing director Sunweb Sports & Events Hans Pluimers.

Review platform Zoover and Sunweb Sports & Events agreed to share the name Zoover for the next four years. In addition, both parties are hatching ways to join forces by sharing each other's expertise. Pluimers: “Think of joint purchasing and making name in the sports world. For instance cycling team Team DSM already shows the name Zoover on their kit. ”

For athletes and fans
The name change takes place immediately. Nothing else changes for our customers. Pluimers: “We remain the specialist when it comes to arranging trips for athletes and fans to major sports events such as European / World Cup football, the Olympic Games and events such as De Vrienden van Amstel LIVE. Contracts and counters remain the same; the same faces, the same quality. ”

Zoover Sports & Events will, just like before, have their office in Zwolle with approximately twenty employees. The well-known Traveldesks will also continue to exist, both in Zeist at the KNVB federation agency, and at Papendal, home base of NOC*NSF and numerous sports associations.

Sunweb Sports & Events has built up a reputation as an all-round tour operator for sports travel, from travel and hospitality to activation. According to Pluimers, it is now time to take the next step and become a more international player in sports & events. Pluimers: “In the coming year we hope to leave corona behind us and travel again successfully with partners such as KNVB, NOC*NSF and TeamNL. Under a new name to the Olympic Games and football matches of our Dutch National Teams. ”
